| Journalists in Colombo protest the murder of Sampath Lakmal, the seventh journalist killed in Sri Lanka since January. Around one hundred journalists show up outside of Fort Railway Station, carrying signs featuring the dead journalists portrait. Lakmal's mother, a stooped, elderly woman, energetically joins the protesters in their appeal: "We don't care if it was the LTTE. We don't care if it was the government. Just tell us who killed Lakmal!" |
